Project: Sue Lombard Hall Renovation, CWU

This four-story Hall at Central Washington University was originally constructed in 1928 complete with dining facilities for a total of 40,000 sf. The renovation of Sue Lombard Hall, completed by Pease Construction in 2005, included major demolition, hazardous materials removal, seismic upgrades, carpentry, roofing, masonry, finishes, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and telecommunications work to bring it up to current technology. The renovation also added elevator access, building card access and upgraded laundry facilities. The building currently provides ADA accessibility throughout and is now home to various Living Learning Communities and accommodates 102 students. CWU was given the “Progress through Preservation Award” by Historic Ellensburg for the “historic rehabilitation of Sue Lombard Hall."
