The work included construction of two new 12,000 lb. capacity traction elevators outside the Central Terminal Expansion (CTE) building at Seattle Tacoma International Airport. Work included demolition of existing concrete and asphalt cement pavement, excavation shoring, soil excavation, removal and replacement of two underground 4,500 gallon concrete grease interceptor vaults, relocation of related utilities, back fill and compaction of excavated work site, and replacement of all demolished pavement with new, FAA-rated concrete pavement. Other related work includes demolition of interior spaces at the basement, ramp, ticketing and mezzanine levels to accommodate the connection of the new elevators.
