The new 15,514 square foot Federal Way 320th Library was designed by SRG Partnership and the Landscape Architect was Swift Company. It has over 10,000 plants with pedestrian pathways intertwined throughout the grounds. The $4.6 Million project opened in September 2013.

The interior features of library include an expanded Children's Area, Teen Zone, three study rooms, a quiet room and community meeting room. The building has several green features, such as windows that maximize daylight, radiant heating, low-flow fixtures and detention pond and rain garden. Weathering steel was selected by the architect which will patina and oxidize over time.
